Any Landscape gardeners out there?

Recommended Posts

Im in the process of levelling off the garden, I have grass down (but not great condition) and have a few tonne of soil I need to put down to level it off.

Do I just spread the soil over the old grass?

Can I remove the grass by machine, turn it over so it dies off and put the soil over?

Or is it best to remove it and bin it?

Once done, will cultivate it, then put some tarpaulin down to supress any weed growth until I can buy some turf.

Was hoping to avoid getting rid, as ive had two builders skips ive filled over the past few months and there expensive.

Thanks in advance

Barry

if you get the seed down very soon you should you should be ok due to the weather we are have wet and warm. Seed is a lot cheaper too and this will helpstop theweeds growing through as you will always have them in a new lawn just let it grow over the winter and weed and feed in the spring I'm just doing mine this weekend but having 3 16tonne loads delivered. any one want to come help me rake it level lol
