  1. Agree Tony someone need`s to do something, what that is however who knows?? it has fast become so complex and uncertain its an unknown quantity and added to that each and every party has become so entrenched in it`s own agenda there is simply no party or individual that have the ability to see this through on their own, at some point stay or leave with or without a deal the one`s at the sharp end need to find some common ground and fast! That said, the damage is done now to the UK`s world trading negotiations, I mean if anyone or any country want to play hard ball they will, because they know they can now, I have no affiliation to a particular party, I mean they are all much of a muchness now, but certain characters faults are hard to ignore and this is where politics falls down, voting and allegiance to a party can be and is as fickle as liking what one leader wears or what one leader voice sounds like and so on. The ruination of the nation started with the assumption that the UK ( United Kingdom ) was just that, united. Wrong! Let us see, Scotland voted to leave the English, they don`t get on basically, the Welsh assembly often do not recognise Westminster rulings, they don`t get on basically and the Houses of Parliament take great delight in reminding both the Scottish people and the Welsh people that they are second and third best, United Kingdom ...My arse !!!!!! oh and not forgetting Ireland of course !! Look at the pics below, is that a United Kingdom ? is it? NO! and there in lies the problem The damage the B word has done to the UK is unmeasurable, whilst Parliament has battled out the negotiations what has been happening to the usual normal run of the mill work, side lined, put back, there must be a mountain of unresolved papers to be heard in the house from local MP`s on local matters that have just not been possible to do, if anyone thinks leaving / stopping with or without a deal is the end of it are very misled, it will just be the start... Jeff
  2. Mmm... yeh car clubs especially are been effected, younger blood coming on board want an instant platform, life in 2019 eh? They were once very strong and given the numbers of zeds been greater in Aus and more specialist suppliers and workshops it is likely I think a difference in dynamics between the UK and Aus, even the US forums are different again, of course there though is a huge audience. The Aus site have also tried to embrace the FB side of things https://www.facebook.com/Aus300zxForum/ But dwindling numbers and income is killing their efforts unfortunately... Jeff
  3. Seems the Australian forum is suffering from reducing income, shame was always a busy lively place, hope they can turn it around. Jeff
  4. Now that is an answer worthy of some rep !! thanks Jeff - - - Updated - - - Erm, how do you do rep??
  5. Ah thanks, just could not remember about all car parts.... Jeff
  6. Mmm... £9k for a respray, now that is the kind of quote that speaks volumes, it is basically, we do not want to do that job, we have no idea how to tackle it and we dont not want to find out, please take it away, however if you do decide to pay £9k for the work, we will drop it at another body shop who will charge us half that and then you collect it back from us all done.. happy days, or is that just the cynic in me :tongue_smilie: Jeff
  7. Lovely to see a fresh and loved looking zed, makes a change from the reality of many around now, that said came across this little gem on YouTube > Showing rust evaluation on a 1990 na zed, not great but not the worst either and the video is 10 years old !... if you have a good one then love it and enjoy it, however most of them have hidden horrors .... new owner just need to be careful. Jeff
  8. Anyone know to a UK supplier other than dealer for the ac belt adjuster pulley, trying to help a UK pal out. Cheers Jeff https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-11925-42l06-ac-idler-tensioner-pulley-complete-assembly-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32_p_2675.php ...
  9. Anyone even contemplating buying a 30 year old 300zx for £20K plus range is going to be disappointed, they do not exist in the UK, now I will say there is a handful of club cars that are exceptional examples ( you know who you are ) but they are mainly personal versions of the car, by that I mean, if you get to buy one it will always be reffered to as Joe`s car or Bill put that together, you will never own the build, the sweat and toil, the financial burden and years of dedicated effort and passion that went into the car. You want a £20k car, buy a £5k one and get working on a project....its the only way really in the true enthusiast spirit. Jeff
  10. Bet your neighbours love your ! do they call you Onslow by any chance
  11. Join the race before they shut the doors !! https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/16/number-of-irish-passport-applications-rises-to-record-level Every expat who is able to is on it, bloody Brexit shite !! Jeff Number of Irish passport applications rises to record level Ireland has received 230,000 requests since January, with 76,000 coming from outside country

  15. Admire your commitment ! for reasons like this I always advocate caution when newbies start a post with "new to zeds" project to make 500bhp any tips!! Jeff
  16. What cars have you done in the past to this high spec? any pictures so we can see what level your aiming at.
  17. Oh dear, lets getting writing that future ad for you now> "Project / engine for sale, thousands spent" Whilst Jim is an excellent engine builder and your clearly an enthusiast, your saying you hardly in the country but want 500 bhp but not to forge it, is the engine going in the Laurel or back in the rotten zed shell? could not quite work that one out. I just hope you decide with your head here, seems you have lost out already in the rotten zed shell be careful to not make the same kind of mistake re: the engine and the Laurel / zed shell. Budget ? £4k engine + £1k clutch and ancillaries + £2k big turbo`s + oh like some fresh wheels £1.5k or a respray £3k maybe some new leather £1.5k ................ there is no set budget with cars its a fluid thing, good luck either way ! Jeff
