What is the average price for these from a UK dealer and what other parts do u need or are advised to replace when fitting these? Do u need an uprated fuel pump? If so any recommendations?

How long ago did u rebuild the engine? I am thinking of buying one when i go to America. I am trying to gather lots of bits together so that i can have them all fitted at once and this would be incorporated in the rebuild. This is the power claimed by the unorthodox web site on a stock 300zx http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/dyno.html On other sites it is claimed even higher results on modified engines.

Does anyone have an unorthodox underdrive pulley fitted? I have been reading about the crankshaft vibration that is associated with lightweight underdrive pulley due to the lack of damping. Does this destroy engines/has anyone with one ever had any problems? These claim a serious power gain for just a pulley on the TT, some figures as high as 37bhp! If that is true, im a little bit sceptical about that, why doesnt everybody have them?

Hi Adam, just a couple of quick questions. Are u still running the original chip and just modifying the fuelling using the Apexi SAFC? Also what is the driveability like using the AP racing clutch and what power can it take? I bought an uprated clutch that is rated to 450 BHP from Smithy but am considering getting one that will handle 500Bhp. I know that before i set up the boost controller i will have to modify the fuelling but i do not know what to buy i.e just an apexi SAFC or do i need a chip to go with it?

So far i have HKS induction kit and decat pipes, HKS intercoolers, Mongoose exhaust, Apexi AVC-R boost controller. The car is manual and the boost controller has not yet been set up as my new clutch needs to be fitted first. I am looking for a final power figure of about 450-500BHP. What power can the stock internals handle as i really do not want to rebuild the engine? Do i need to get bigger injectors i.e 555cc? What turbos should i get? Is getting my original ones modified an option? Is the best option to get a chip custom mapped by a company once all the parts are on? or can u keep the original chip and get a piggy back ecu system like the Greddy one?

Agree with u totally Stuart! Phil is a top bloke who goes out of his way to make sure everything is spot on. I live in London and will still make the journey North to get him to work on my car.

Cheers guys, I am trying to find some shops in the florida area online so that i can see just what kind of a price difference there is. Has anyone bought a road angel? as there has been a lot of publicity about them. The Valentine one seems like a good piece of kit though. Will have a search and see what i can find. Will post any results soon!

Thanks again lads, I have already got the induction and zorst including hks downpipes done and also running HKS intercoolers. As with most Z owners i do not really know how far i want to go with the engine as i still want it to be drivable so my hopeful figure will be around 450bhp. I am also getting an RPS street clutch fitted to take this power.Taking into consideration the injectors as u say warren i will have to uprate them probably to 555's the same as adams. Is there anything else i will need if i go with the E Manage system? How much power can the standard turbos take?

Also meant to ask if u used a fuel cut defencer? Same differing opinions about whether or not u need one!

Cheers guys, I have had differing opinions about using just an Apexi SAFC and not changing the chip. This was what i planned to do originally. Is it completely safe? Does the Emanage do just the same as changing the chip would as i do not know what is modified when u change the chip from standard i.e is it just the amount of fuelling? The advert for the Greddy system said it would be £375 including harness which is about the same amount as a chip change anyway. The more i think about it the more confused i get!!!

I have recently installed an Apexi AVC-R boost controller but it has not been set up yet because i do not know what chip to get to run with it and it seems there is a lot of debate over what is the best one. In an advert in Jap Performance Magazine one company is selling GReddy E Manage piggyback ECU system and i was wondering if this system would be the same as chipping my Z. Does anybody know anything about this system or has anyone got it already done?

I have R33 Brembo Calipers fitted to my Z but am looking for recommendations as to which Discs and Pads to fit as they need to be changed. Anyone with the same upgrade able to help?

Sorry for the delay in reply, been away getting my z fixed! They are 8x17 with 245 tyres on the rear and 235 on the fronts. In quite good condition. Give me a call if u want to see them 07803 012868. I have one of them in wokingham, and the other three are in Manchester but can get them whenever.

Ive got a set of 17" OZ Saturn Alloys with tyres for sale. Six spoke design, look good on a zed. £400.
