  1. That's who I used Trev. Cost me £95 for the day (for 2 drivers and included about 150 miles excess on top of what they allow). It was their Darlington branch I used. The beavertail came with additional extension ramps which made the gradient very shallow and would allow all but the lowest of cars to get onto the back.
  2. Fair enough. I think I just have an issue with for sale threads that don't include pictures. I think people should be able to see what is for sale rather than having to ask for a pic. As a past moderator on 350z-uk I know how hard of a job it is to view everything that's going on, so I appreciate the work you all do.
  3. I know the rules are there. But they ain't always followed or enforced.
  4. It's a good idea to set out rules for it. Would it be an idea to set similar rules in the Items for Sale section? Specifically the rule about providing a picture?
  5. That looks much better. Mine certainly hasn't got any. I will rectify that when I get home. What have I done today?... Ordered far too many bits n bobs. lol. Hid kit, LED's for cluster and pods, relays for HID kit diode mod and to solve the quick indicator flash.
  6. Finally got an exhaust then? Your local half decent garage will have a pile of various gaskets of various shapes and sizes. Just pop in and ask them if they have the ones you want. Some exhaust sealing paste is always a useful addition too. Holts Assembly Paste is what I use.
  7. No need to be shocked. Each to their own as I say. This is my idea of a stunnig 300zx. http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45369 But it could be your idea of hell.
  8. Hmmmm. Each to their own I guess. I don't like the wing, or the crappy extra fog lights, or that nose panel, or the wheels, or the double single exit exhaust, or the seats, or the fact it's an auto. I don't even like the colour.
  9. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/36081-show-off-your-chili-rosso-red-02-09-350z/ Post 3 on that link above is Rosso Red. It's a great colour in the flesh.
  10. Nissan's Rosso Red is a nice rich red colour (it was a standard colour on the later years of the 350z)
  11. Stereo Controls. If there are controls on both sides, the other side is cruise controls.
  12. The wheel looks ok, the rest of that interior is horrid! I have a momo-race wheel fitted, and I hate it. So looking for ideas for a different wheel, and vaguely considered the 350z wheel as I have one spare in the garage. I might have a look and see how the fitment would be.
  13. I've done the searching for you. It can be done it seems:
  14. Have a look on the US forums. If it's been done anywhere, it'll be over there.
  15. Glad to hear she's ok Si. looks like a hard shunt. As for insurance. I'm afraid you're right, you'll only get market value. They'll tell you that you should have taken out GAP insurance with the finance. All I can recommend is that you reject their first offer. they'll likely up in by a couple of hundred after that. Every little helps.
  16. Or if you don't want to completely break the bank you can get a set of 350z brembo's for circa £700.
  17. It's a shite road to drive. It's often quicker time wise from our neck of the woods to nip across to the M74 and up that way if you are going any further North than Stirling. For Tom, the A68 would be quicker than the A1 if he chose to stay on the East coast. A1 wouldn't even be an option. When I drive up to Aberdeen (from about 30 miles East of Tom) it's 50/50 whether I go A1 or M74. Just depends on my mood.
  18. Nice work. No chance of the twins going in the back of mine since it's a SWB! lol Luckily I have an S-Max for them and all their associated paraphernalia
  19. I've gone back to work this morning, so my pin striping practice is on hold for the next two weeks! On the plus side, I just ordered stuff from eBay (flasher relay, plastic polish, EL Panels, etc) which should all be waiting for me when I get home :D
  20. Managed to get the car out for a drive yesterday afternoon and the gearbox noise is gone. However I am now getting a noise for off side rear which I suspect is a wheel bearing issue. Joy. Some progress made with the tail lights, however my skills at applying pin stripes need some work! lol
  21. You seen these on FleaBay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-370Z-19-ALLOY-WHEELS-SUITABLE-FOR-A-350Z-SIMPLY-IMMACULATE-/281171083099?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item41771a3f5b
  22. Since I've had the Slicky, there has been an annoying whine when in 2nd and 4th. It was suggested it was likely the lower shift boot had came loose. Sure enough, when I looked into it a few weeks ago it had popped off. Placed back on and sound went away. Driving over past few days, sound had came back. I had to take the centre trim out today anyway, so whilst there I investigated the boot again. The lower boot had popped off again. It's slightly misshaped so I've put a couple of dabs of silicone and put it back in place. Hopefully that will hold it in place and save me having to track down a new one. Also the middle boot rubber had a huge split in it. I had some rubber glue in the garage so I did a repair and it's bonded well. Once it's all dry, Ike her out for a drive and see what the noise is like (hopefully gone!) There's some epic wiring bodges on this car: The above was someone attempt at installing a Nokia phone charger. I've removed it all and repaired the wiring. Next on this morning list was to fit the Gaitors I got from Si (Mondo - Hide and Seat). Nothing fancy, but my OEM ones were absolutely rotten. Really pleased with the finished look. Thanks again Si. I'll be getting the knob and hand brake done in the near future. I also changed out the centre stereo surround. The one in the car when I bought it had been sprayed blue, and it was scratched, chipped, and held in in some places with bluetak. How it looks now: The Pioneer stereo single Din is pretty naff to be honest, and it doesn't have a dimmer function, so it's a pain at night and the facia has to be removed. It will be for sale shortly. So now I just need to trace all the wires and neaten them up (I hate messy wiring). The rest of today is concentrating on splitting a set of rear lights for a wee project I was thinking off.
